The Georgian Garden

In this tranquil corner of Chances Park, the meandering paths and curved, irregular shape of the flowerbeds recall garden designs of the Georgian period. The planting in each bed may change over time, but the informal and mainly herbaceous style are retained.

Chances Park – planting for people and wildlife

Beautiful trees have been a key element of Morton Manor’s grounds since they were laid out in the 19th century. Today, trees planted in Georgian and Victorian times share the park with more recent specimens, giving pleasure to present and future generations.

Chance’s Park needs your help for the Tesco’s Bag of Help Initiative!

Feb 28, 2016   //   by Iris Rogan   //   Latest News, Park Events  //  No Comments

Chance’s Park has been short-listed for Tesco’s Bag of Help initiative.

From the 27 February to 6 March you will be able to vote for your favourite project every time you go shopping in your local Tesco store.  By putting your token in the Chance’s Park box, you will be helping to raise money for a new multi-play climbing unit to be installed in the park.  This will provide exciting and challenging play opportunities for local children!

Please share with all your Friends and tell them to put token into Chances Park box.
